choo yan here! i'm known as choops/choups/chuups to some, yanyan to some, choo-ey to some and also choo-choo to some.
i'm nifty 19. i am tagged 08MAY90'. i was studying my life away in SAJC, and was from CHIJ-SJC & CHIJ-OLGC.
currently, i am waiting for university term to start! AWESOME!
i'm finally alive and kicking in this cyber space10:05 PM
Goodness i haven't blogged in AGES! god. i'm so busy nowadays, that i have no time for myself. let alone blogging. ok here's how sorry my life can get--i am now left only with sundays to do homework/study for tests. and having only sundays is disgustingly insufficient excuse me. i have math tuition on sundays too. see how stretched my life has become?! man. i can't wait for j2 to be over.
okok enough of self-pity, here's the good stuff i've yet to blog about:
the euphoric moments of my pathetic life now (which currently revolves strictly around school, cca and home)
first up was GISELLE! some of us headed down to watch the dance recital after dance practice. thank god for shower rooms in school. if i had any aspirations, being a pro ballet dancer can be one of my many aspirations. Giselle was a beautiful ballet performance. the setting in the Fort Canning Park was great too, since the setting of the play fit in perfectly with the rich and dense trees in the park. cali and i aimed to go to a proper ballet school after 'A's. seriously, i'm pretty much motivated to join ballet for real after being exposed to dance for a year plus now. Giselle was in fact the kind of fairytale/folktale that i've always loved since young. so in some way Giselle reminded me of my fairytale storybooks, and also my childhood. it's good to think back, i've always enjoyed glossing through memories. nice advertisement huh?! oh and we food to picnic there! haha so fun. that's cheryl and i posing for a 'share-the-tako-pachi' photo :)). that's abigail a.k.a abi, a.k.a ebi the prawn. too bad it's too dark to see her face.that's me and huiling! i would personally say that we're a dynamic duo when it comes to eating to our hearts' content. we bought a lot of junk and we ate a lot :D
there are more photos actually but i've yet to get them from cali. some other time then!
oh ok and one day when my mum was intending to fry eggs for dinner, she cracked a bloody egg. no, i'm not cursing, it's just that the egg's really bleeding! check out the picture below. see the red spot, it's where the blood's coming out. and see some blood pigmentation floating around? yeah it's indeed bleeding. oh oh! and what's more, there's like this transparent membrane holding in some fluids that protect the yolk. pardon me for such lousy description, i'm not a bio student so i can't really name the parts of the egg.
zomg. interesting much.
oh and what happened to the egg? well my mum and i were so very fascinated with it that we kept it to show my sister and dad when they got home haha! then we threw it away...we weren't sure if it's ok to eat it or not. plus it's scary to eat it, so yeah the solution was to throw it away.
then there was Rapture auditons. catching choreography in a heartbeat has never been a thing about me, so generally i was a retard but managed to really catch some dances still. hey i was proud of myself man, at least i know i'm improving since the time when i first joined dance. ok so anyhoos, i got into tings&cal's chinese dance and germ's celtic dance! woohoos! i'm contented already. oh and now that the ruggers are going to join us for opening item in Rapture? boy, Rapture practices will probably be more interesting. sad thing is that Rapture's on July the 30th, which means we'll step down in Aug! which is super late! :( but i can't and won't give up the thrill of performing at Esaplande! :)
and the happiest thing today: i've managed to complete my NAPFA all in one day!!! woohoos! the 5 stations plus the 2.4 run! and i can get my gold!!! YAY! i was overwhelmed with a sense of determination to complete everything today, and i did it! haha! this marks the LAST NAPFA i'm going to have for the rest of my life! no more stupid trainings and unnecessary mental stress to do well. the best thing is that i jumped 1.95m. although i didn't hit 2m, i'm happy :D.
oh! and we managed to watch rugby match just now! although we didn't watch the full match, we were running around, shuttling between the dance studio and the field to watch the match. right after dance, we shuttled to the bridge to watch the match from there, we got a good view! we were so crazy about the match that we didn't even change out of our long pants. so we looked like people from pyjamas party watching some rugby match. haha. the match was almost cancelled thanks to looming dark clouds and thunder. so we got sick of waiting and we went back to the studio again. but later on they resumed the game, and when we received the news, we ran from dance studio to the field to watch the game once again. we didn't exactly own the jjc people, 34-nil, if i'm not wrong. dang. well, at least we won. :) i love watching rugby matches, but seldom get to 'cause their matches always fall on my cca days!
and what's more! this saturday will be more exciting 'cause i will need to buy leather ballet shoes (YAY!) and tings needs to buy her foot thongs and we'll go study after that with cali (YAY YAY!)! :D so fun. ok i sound deprived, but that's my kind of fun. the friends-do-stuff-together kinda thing. hey, sometimes the simplest of joys can bring you the greatest kind of joy! :D
signing off,
choops. (this nickname is seriously catching on with many people, especially the dance people, and i kinda like it :p it's so easy to enunciate!)
